About me
My name is Melissa Denby, and I'm a UX designer based in Durham, North Carolina. My career has always been rooted in design — I started as a graphic designer after receiving my BFA from the University of Georgia, and as my career evolved I became drawn to UX.
I loved the idea of thinking through design patterns and helping users make sense of complex information. So I went back to school at UNC for a Master's in Information Science, and have been working as a UX designer for ten years. A big part of that work has been designing AI-powered experiences that help users get to the right information quickly so they can solve problems.
Outside of work, I love reading (anything and everything!), riding my bike, traveling, and my adorable cat — I'm holding myself back from posting way too many photos.
